LNG facilities – scheme

Along with the supplies of liquefied natural gas, we offer attractive terms and conditions for delivery of infrastructure required for the final use of the gas. LNG terminals offered by the company allow for regasifying liquid phase or fueling of vehicles/ships.
The following scheme shows how LNG is distributed and treated for specific applications. See the scheme of solutions offered by Cryogas:
• LNG regasification station;
• LNG fueling station for vehicles;
• CNG and LNG fueling station for vehicles;
• LNG bunkering for vessels.
Cryogas has know-how and experience in the scope of applying LNG for other purposes too, e.g. emergency feeding of natural gas. We will be glad to discuss your individual needs. Please contact us to talk about any possible solutions.

LNG regasification station

Stacja regazyfikacji LNG

1. Cryogenic tanker truck

LNG is transported from a liquefaction plant to a regasification station in specialized cryogenic tankers, where low temperature of liquefied gas is maintained during transport. A typical tanker has a capacity of 18 tons, which after regasification produces 25,600 m³ of fuel in a gas form.

2. Cryogenic tanks

Used to store natural gas in liquefied form. The tank design allows the fuel to be kept at a temperature of -162°C. Cryogenic storage tanks have varied capacities, with 60 m³ being the most common one. Such a tank can hold max. 32,400 m³ of fuel in gas form. Technologically, it is possible to add more tanks to the LNG regasification station to have a larger storage capacity.

3. Vaporizers

Used to convert the fuel from liquid to gas form. Designed to guarantee regasification capacity requested by the user, counted in m³/h.

4. Pressure reduction/measurement station

Measurement of gas fuel and gas pressure reduction is performed here. Pressure reduction can take place in the station or along a gas duct before a consumption point. Final decision will be individually made by a facility designer for each design.

5. Boiler room, odorizing room

LNG is odorless, therefore an odorizing installation is provided to enrich the gas with a characteristic odor.

LNG storage tank is specially designed to allow connecting LNG fueling installation for vehicles.

3. Cryogenic pump

Pumps the fuel to the LNG dispenser.

4. LNG dispenser

The LNG dispenser measures the amount of fuel taken, and then an LNG vehicle – truck, bus or other heavy vehicle – is fueled by using a standardized nozzle.

5. Cryogenic pressure pump

A cryogenic compressor increases pressure to level analogical to CNG.
Atmospheric vaporizers change the liquid fuel into gas compressed to 250 bar. Installed CNG buffer allows appropriate amount of fuel to be stored for “quick” CNG fueling.

6. CNG dispenser

 Measures the weight of fuel taken, and then fuels a CNG vehicle – trucks, bus, commercial or passenger vehicles.

Ship bunkering

Stacja LNG i LCNG

1. Truck-to-Ship bunkering

LNG is transported from the liquefaction plant to port in specialized cryogenic tankers, keeping the low temperature of liquefied gas during transport. Under supervision of port personnel, the tanker is parked in appropriate location at a wharf. After securing an installation, the vessel is bunkered (up to 18 tons of LNG at one time).
Contact us to request LNG bunkering at any Polish port.

2. Ship-to-Ship bunkering

The location for gas storage and fueling installation is an LNG bunker ship. The specialized vessel arrives to the location indicated by the shipping company (at the port or at sea/river), and pumps LNG to a ship fueled with natural gas.
Service under development – interested parties are welcome to contact us.

3.  Shore-to-Ship bunkering (from fixed installation)

The location for gas storage and fueling installation is a special LNG station set up on the port wharf. This facility enables bunkering services on a specific wharf. Additionally, it can be fitted with LNG fueling installation for other vehicles (trucks, spotter trucks, switchers or other port service vehicles).
Please contact us directly, if you are interested in further details about the erection of a fixed infrastructure for LNG bunkering and the provision of gas supplies.
